About Us
National
Council for Teacher Education is a Statutory Body under
the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of
Government of India. It was established by an Act of
Parliament 1993 on 29th December 1993 with a view to
achieving planned and co-coordinated development of the
teacher education system throughout the country, the
regulation and proper maintenance of norms and standards
in the teacher education system and for matters
connected therewith
Organizational
Structure:
The
headquarters of the National Council for Teacher
Education is situated at
Hans Bhawan, Wing-II,
1, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg,
New Delhi – 110 002.
The Chairperson
of National Council for Teacher Education is the executive
head of the institution and for his help and cooperation
Vice-Chairperson, Member Secretary,
Deputy
Secretary and Under Secretaries are at NCTE Hqrs.
