Sub : Celebaration of National Education Day on 11th Novermber, 2008 regarding.

Sir/ Madam,

      I am directed to inform that the Central Government has decided to observe 11th Novermber, the birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad a great freedom fighter, eminent educationist and first Union Minister of Education as National Education Day in a befitting manner every year throughout the country, without declaring it as a holoday vide resolution No. 17-35-2004-PN-I dated 11th September, 2008 of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India (Copy Enclosed).

     In view of the above you are advised to organize seminars, symposia, workshop, competitions of various kinds and to take out rallies with banners cards and slogans of the importance of literacy and nation's Commitment ot Educational Development of 11th November, 2008 the National Education Day.
